American Idols Live at Target Center Minneapolis

If you were like most households in America last night, you watched the season finale of American Idol. The show leading up to the final elimination was filled with star power and included performances by Jason Mraz, Keith Urban, Black Eyed Peas, Cyndi Lauper, Kiss, and more. Even if you didn’t watch it, you certainly heard about it around the water cooler this morning or on the news. The finale was dubbed “the biggest upset in all of "American Idol's" eight seasons” after laid-back, folksy singer Kris Allen beat out the judges' favorite, Adam Lambert, for the "Idol" crown.

If you want a chance to see the top 10 American Idols live in concert, the Target Center is giving it to you. The American Idols Live Tour will be at the Target Center on Tuesday, September 1st, 2009 at 7p.m. – the perfect back-to-school concert!

The American Idols Tour includes: Kris Allen, Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey, Allison Iraheta, Anoop Desai, Lil Rounds, Matt Giraud, Megan Joy, Michael Sarver, and Scott MacIntyre.

Check out the Target Center Schedule for more details including ticket prices and available seat locations.

Demi Lovato Tour Stops at Target Center

Let the whining begin. On Saturday, August 8th Demi Lovato with special guest David Archuleta will be at the Target Center Minneapolis for her summer tour.

Demi Lovato is no Hannah Montana, but you can bet the Target Center will once again be filled with screaming tween girls that just “have to” see Demi.

If you don’t know who Demi Lovato is, then you don’t have a 10-16 year old daughter, niece, sister or whatever. Demi Lovato is another one of those Disney Channel creations. She starred in Camp Rock with the Jonas Brothers as a 14 year old girl who wanted to be a famous singer. I am amazed that the Target Center is giving her a full house set-up. She is no Miley Cyrus and just last year she was a no name opening act for the Jonas Brothers. This may be a hot summer concert for tweens in the Twin Cities, but it just doesn’t have the hype of Hannah Montana caliber show.
