Minnesota Lynx Likely First Round Opponent
So the Minnesota Lynx have clinched this best record in the WNBA and now are just waiting for the WNBA playoffs. The Lynx should be able to make their way out of the Western Conference fairly easily considering they cruised through the regular season. As of right now, their likely first round match up is with the San Antonio Silver Stars. The Lynx are 4-0 this season against the Silver Stars. The Silver Stars are right behind the Phoenix Mercury and hopefully Phoenix is able to hold them off because the Lynx match up much better with Phoenix. Interesting tidbit, the Lynx play the Mercury for the last game of the season, shouldn't the Lynx just let the Mercury win so that they don't have to play them in the final game? I think so.

Minnesota Lynx Magic Number Down to 1
The Minnesota Lynx are one game away from clinching the best record in the WNBA. They are so good it's scary. One Lynx victory over the next four games or 1 loss by the Indiana Fever and the Minnesota Lynx will have clinched the best record in the entire WNBA. They beat Washington in the Target Center 73-56. This team is scary good and I can't wait for the playoffs. People should definitely try to get some tickets for the playoffs because who knows how far this team will go. I could definitely see them winning a WNBA championship. Can't wait for the parade!

Minnesota Lynx Torched by Connecticut Sun
The Minnesota Lynx suffered a crushing loss to the Connecticut Sun and got absolutely torched 108-78 in Connecticut.
It sure seemed like the Lynx players were nervous. Especially Maya Moore, who attended the University of Connecticut and starred there for four years. She only managed to make 1 of the 7 shots she took against the Sun.
The Lynx are still 18-6 and in prime position to capture the number 1 seed in the Western Conference Playoffs.

Mercury End Lynx's 9 Game Win Streak
The Minnesota Lynx did all they could Sunday night, but still didn't come away with a win. The Lynx lost 85-80 to the Mercury in Phoenix on Sunday night. They got all the performances that they needed from their stars, but Diana Taurasi came away with a critical steal with just 20 seconds remaining in the game.
Maya Moore led the way for the Lynx with 28 points while Seimone Augustus poured in 26 points of her own.

Maya Moore Continues to Wow Lynx Crowd
The Lynx have firmly shown the WNBA that they are the team to beat. The Lynx recently just pounded the reigning league champion Seattle with a score of 92-67 at the Target Center in front of a crowd of 7,856.The Lynx will meet second place San Antonio on Sunday afternoon and again Thursday at the Target Center.
What is at the core of the Lynx's success? Or should I say who... Maya Moore. Moore has solidified her place as an emerging super star. Alongside Seimone Augustus, who just became the WNBA's fastest player to reach the 3,000-point mark, it appears that Maya Moore and the Lynx are serious contenders emerging to knock on the championship-door.
