Minnesota Timberwolves forward Kevin Love erupted for 31 points and 31 rebounds on Friday night against the New York Knicks at the Target Center. It was the first time an NBA player had that stat line since 1982 when Moses Malone accomplished it. It was an electric crowd at the Target Center with an announced crowd of 15,000 to 16,000. Michael Beasley scored 35 points, after scoring 42 the game before against the Sacramento Kings. Rookie Wesley Johnson continues to impress with 15 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 blocks against the Knicks. Don't Look Now, But Optimism Growing Around Minnesota Timberwolves

We know it's only preseason. However, the Minnesota Timberwolves have looked impressive thus far and the optimism is growing around the fanbase. There are plenty of articles written recently about the upgraded defense, shooting, and talent compared to last year's team. As I've stated before, the depth on this team is leaps and bounds ahead of what has been here before. I like what I see so far and hope we can turn some heads this season. The first game is on Wednesday, October 27 at home against the Sacramento Kings.
